Born in 1951 in Ukraine (Soviet Union). Can be mentioned just like Russia or Soviet Union. At that time it was one country.
Studied art and architecture. Masters degree in architecture.
Worked as a city planner and an architect for several years.
In 1978 moved to Saint Petersburg. Leningrad at that time. Worked as an architect.
In about 1983 had to quit architecture because of political problems with the government. Become a commercial painter and sculptor, started to experiment with ceramics.
In 1989 immigrated in the United States.
Worked as a figurative sculptor (ceramics, bronze, cement, rubber) Shows in Princeton, New York (SoHo, 57 St.), Venice (Italy), Saint Petersburg (Russia).
Since 1989 worked with porcelain in the 18 c. European tradition, producing table cervices, decorative objects, porcelain and t?le flowers etc.
By about 2000 working on decorative porcelain displaced all other interests and become main occupation. |
